When issues... begin to weigh down too heavily on one side of our scales, we must take a deep breath, think clearly, remember fully, and feel receptively. Then we start balancing the scale.
S. Michael Wilcox, "Holding On", Deseret Book 2021
You know, I'm starting to realize that there seems to be an equal ratio in all things, to keep everything balanced. There is an opposition in all things, as the scriptures tell us. Meaning, there is bad but equal amounts of good (even more when we need it). There is bitter but also equal amounts of sweet.
There is negative but also equal amounts of positive. The issue, for the most part, at least in my experience, is that the negative is what keeps our attention, my attention. So that is what I tend to focus on. But if I look closely, I will find that there are positive things out there. I just need to shift my attention and allow that positivity into my life. I need to look to God and live.
So, my point is that when bad or negative things happen to us, we need to fill our lives with equal amounts of good and positive things, to keep the scales balanced. The more that is weighing on us heavily, the more we need to rely on God, His Christ, and His word.
The positive is out there. Christ is there. Waiting. Knocking. We just need to allow Him to enter. He is positivity that can and will out do any negativity in our lives.
