You can look around the world and say, ‘Oh things are getting hard.’ And you shouldn’t be afraid of that. Because you’re not alone.... you will be armed with righteousness and with the power of God in great glory. … Then, in the midst of all the turmoil, you will have peace. You will have hope. You will more fully understand the great purpose that you have living on the earth at this time. The Savior is the source of solace and peace through the covenants and ordinances of His gospel.

This is comforting. Because this life is hard. It can be painful...physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. It can be stressful. It can also be terrifying.
But it does not have to be as bad as we expect it to be. Sometimes we scare ourselves. It will remain concerning. We still have to be prepared. But, it doesn't have to be so stressful or terrifying. Pain will be there, that is part of life, but it can be minimized.
Point is...we do not have to suffer through life as horribly and as bad as we do sometimes. It will not be taken away completely...things will still happen to us, but we can be strengthened...physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally, so that we can handle everything with peace and comfort. As long as we are yoked with the Lord, He does most, about 99%, of the heavy lifting.
Rely on Him. Depend on Him. Experiment on His words. Trust Him.
