My brothers and sisters, I plead with you to make time for the Lord! Make your own spiritual foundation firm and able to stand the test of time by doing those things that allow the Holy Ghost to be with you always.
President Russell M. Nelson, "Make Time for the Lord", General Conference, October 2021
As I've mentioned in another recent thought.. . here again the prophet is using the word "plead". He didn't use "suggest" or "recommend" or "ask". He's imploring us....with a sense of urgency. Why is that?
Regardless of the reason, we need to make time for the Lord. I need to make time for Him for sure and when I fox it needs to be sufficient.

We are all given 1,440 minutes in every day. Some days it feels that those minutes are not sufficient to get done what we need done. Well then, it becomes a matter of priority at that point. There are important things to do and there are urgent things to do. Sometimes they are one and the same, but most of the time they aren't. A lot of my urgent tasks just aren't important, especially in the grand scheme of things.
We each must decide what is a priority and what isn't. That will depend on where our hearts lie, I guess. But I will say that giving the Lord even a fraction of those 1,440 minutes will strengthen our foundation to hold firm when the storms of life hit, especially the violent and strong ones.
