I pray that we as a people are using this unique time to grow spiritually. We are here on earth to be tested, to see if we will choose to follow Jesus Christ, to repent regularly, to learn, and to progress. Our spirits long to progress. And we do that best by staying firmly on the covenant path.
President Russell M. Nelson, "Moving Forward", General Conference, October 2020
For me, it's been difficult to keep moving forward during this time of isolation, staying home, away from church and spiritual support, and, for me especially, just plain hermitness. 😳
It's easy to get lazy, again, for me. The more I stay boarded up at home, the more I want to remain at home. And I've found that procrastination comes easier when I'm in that mindset.
So, my mindset needs to change. I've been trying to do what I call "anchor the day". That means that I start my day off right. I shower, get dressed, and just get my apperance ready as if I'm going to interact with others. That helps me psychologically and gives me the confidence I need.

I also prepare myself mentally. I do a bit of meditation or mindfulness (or try to) to bring my focus in. That also calms my mind from the chaos swimming around me.
Anchoring the day also means I prepare myself spiritually for the day. Studying scriptures, prayer, pondering (a form of mindfulness), etc., help give me added strength and confidence too.
I don't always anchor my day correctly, and those are the days that just seem off, out of sorts, and just plain bleh!
But getting myself prepared physically, mentally, and spiritually is how I move forward and stay on the path.
