As for the enemies of freedom, those who are potential adversaries, they will be reminded that peace is the highest aspiration of the American people. We will negotiate for it, sacrifice for it; we will not surrender for it, now or ever.
Our forbearance should never be misunderstood. Our reluctance for conflict should not be misjudged as a failure of will. When action is required to preserve our national security, we will act. We will maintain sufficient strength to prevail if need be, knowing that if we do so we have the best chance of never having to use that strength.
Above all, we must realize that no arsenal or no weapon in the arsenals of the world is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is a weapon our adversaries in today's world do not have. It is a weapon that we as Americans do have. Let that be understood by those who practice terrorism and prey upon their neighbors.
President Ronald Reagan, Inauguration Address, January 20, 1981
America is a blessed land. Because God Himself blessed it... and also because there are God fearing, patriots all over this land. Those that love this country. Those that will not surrender the freedoms that make this country the greatest. And those that will die protecting those freedoms.
The United States of America is the greatest country in all the world. Are we the smartest people? No. Are we the wealthiest? No. Are we the bravest? Absolutely!
There is just something in the hearts of more than half this country. A pride in who they are, what they are, and where they are. And that pride has a lot to do with the light of Christ and also the spirit of God that covers and protects this land. Our adversaries don't feel that and they want everyone else to stop feeling that. Sound familiar?
I feel sorry for others that don't have that. I really do. It must be tough going through life with no hope, no ambition, no sense of accomplishment, having everything given to you without working for it. That's not a life. That isn't freedom. That will not build character.
