Be kind to one another. Jesus taught us to love one another and to treat others as we want to be treated. As we strive to be kind, we draw closer to Him and His loving influence.
President Dallin H. Oaks, "Parents and Children", New Era, November 2018
There's a lot of negativity in this world. There's a lot of hatred in this world. There's a lot of bloodshed in this world. Satan has great hold on the hearts of many. The followers of Christ are becoming targets for that negativity, hatred, even bloodshed.

It is more crucial now than ever before to strive to be like Jesus. Act how He would act if He were on the earth today. Conduct yourself how He would. Love as He does!
Easier said than done.
Wars and rumors of wars is not just physical battling that we see, although that too stems from hatred. We are in the middle of a war of words, political correctness, selfishness, etc. Above that, we are also in a spiritual war.
Being kind to others, to someone who is trying to kill you, demean you, threaten you, bully you, is not an easy task. Doesn't mean you give in to that. We still need to stand firm to what we believe.
Remember, our Savior, our Brother, not only dealt with bullying, threats, defamation of character, physical abuse, temptation, He also suffered an intense and bitter Atonement. A "cup" that any other mortal would not have endured or survived. A sacrifice of His very life, for you and for me. Yet, He was still a gentle, loving, compassionate, selfless Person to anyone and everyone. Can I be like that? Even when the very jaws of hell gape open the mouth wide after me? Can I still be kind and loving then? Christ was!!
