Our Savior’s Second Coming is drawing nearer. Let us not delay in this great cause. Remember Captain Moroni, who hoisted the title of liberty inscribed with the words “In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children.” Let us remember the people’s response: exercising their agency, they “came running together” with a covenant to act.
Elder Robert D. Hales, "Preserving Agency, Protecting Religious Freedom", General Conference, April 2015

As I grow more mature and wiser (hopefully), I grow to appreciate more the freedoms, the liberty, the agency that I enjoy, even take for granted sometimes. And, I value and appreciate those who sacrifice now and have sacrificed so much, even their very lives, to protect those freedoms that I enjoy.
It means more to me to think of those who risked and gave their lives as if they did it for me personally. In reality, of course, they gave their lives for this nation, of which I am included. But, I value that sacrifice as if they did it for me!
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. - John 15:13
I love this country. I am so blessed to have been born here and live here still. I am so blessed to be free. I am free to choose whatever I want, worship however I want, and live however I want. I will do everything I can to keep those freedoms... for me, for my wife, for my children, and for the Gospel. And I am extremely grateful for others who are willing to help keep our "title of liberty", our flag, hoisted high.
I can visualize Captain Moroni running alongside us as we fight our way forward, and he is holding up our flag to strengthen our resolve, to square up our jaws, and to recommit our lives and our hearts to God, family, and country.
