My desire today is for you to understand how seminally important it is for you to both seek the sunny side of the street and also to be united with our Savior.
Elder Quentin L. Cook, BYU-Idaho Devotional, January 27, 2021
I had to think about this for a bit. The term "seminally", I've only heard in a procreation sense. So, I looked it up.
It also means "containing the seeds of later development".
The more I think about it and ponder it, the more I understand that being optimistic and aligned with the Savior needs to be part of my DNA. We all "contain the seeds" of optimism as well as being Christlike, it's just a matter of developing that positive outlook as well as being more like Jesus.
Although, I will say that being more like Jesus will already make you (or me) a more positive person.
So, let's not just look for the sunny side of the street, let's also go and stand in the warmth, so to speak. Getting to that sunshine may prove difficult at first though, especially if our boots are heavy and muddy, or if we get sidetracked by a mud puddle to splash around in. 😁

But, the warmth will feel very good!
