Don't aim at success. The more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side effect of one's personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself or as the by-product of one's surrender to a person other than oneself.
Viktor Frankl, "Man's Search For Meaning"
The first thing that came to mind as I heard this is the fact that we all need to pursue God and His kingdom first and then will we be successful in this life in temporal things, or at least have what we need in this life.
Seems so simple to seek God first, before anything else. And it is simple....in theory. It IS hard in practice though. Because Satan doesn't want you to seek God first. He will and does make it difficult to do. He puts things in our path to distract us and entice us. That's his purpose.
God's purpose is to help us reach immortality and eternal life. He does nothing else but help us reach that goal. So, if you or I ask for help, He will immediately grant it. He is waiting for us to ask.
