He is not going to let us sink. We are not going to perish, though the fear may be crippling.
S. Michael Wilcox, "What Seek Ye?", Deseret Book 2020
When I read this, I thought immediately of the Good Ship Zion that we are on and how the Lord is steering this ship. We know with Him at the helm, we will not sink. We know that if we stay on board this ship, we will conquer. It may not be easy all the time, it may not be fun at times, but it will be worth it.

Now, as Nephi states, the only way to enter into the straight and narrow path that leads us back home, or, in this analogy, the only way to enter onto this ship, is through baptism by immersion by one who is authorized by God to do so. But, that is just the beginning.
I think of my family and loved ones, and of how I desire that we could all be on this ship back home, together. We can ALL be together when this life is over here on earth. But, that choice is individual. We all have to overcome the physical appetites of the flesh in order to have eternal life with God. We know this. However, it is difficult to do.
But....it WILL be worth it.
So, whatever is holding us back from taking that next step higher to the next level, let's pray for strength to overcome that obstacle. Heavenly Father will help us. He will give us that strength. He is our Father. He loves us. He will not let us sink. Storms will rage, but we will not sink. Winds are fierce, but we will not sink. Just get aboard and hang on.
