“And now, behold, I say unto you, and I would that ye should remember, that God is merciful unto all who believe on his name; therefore he desireth, in the first place, that ye should believe, yea, even on his word.”
Believing is the first step towards knowing. To believe is defined as “to accept as true” or “to expect or suppose”. We accept Christ as the first born, the Example to emulate, and the Redeemer and Savior. We believe in Him. So how is that different than faith? Faith requires action. We need to take steps showing that we believe in Him. We show that we want be like Him. And, who do we show? We show our Heavenly Father. And, by so doing, those around us will see those steps taken and, hopefully better their own lives. The more we act on our belief, the stronger that belief becomes, and with belief and action together, the stronger our faith is. As our faith grows and grows, we will eventually come to know.
