Most people are dead at age 30 but get buried at age 80.
Robin Sharma, "The 5am Club", Harper Collins
I started listening to this book and it's about how to win our mornings to be able to win the rest of the day. It makes sense to me, although 5am is a bit early. 😊
This concept uses the 20/20/20 rule where you spend 20 minutes on some sort of exercise, then 20 minutes on reflection or meditation, then 20 minutes on learning something. This, of course, can be customized to whatever works for you. Maybe 30 minutes of exercise and 10 minutes of meditation?
Anyway, this quote caught my attention. I fall into this mode where I'm dead as to not living my potential or even trying to better myself. I tend to just try to stay from getting worse and I don't even think to try to better myself.
It all starts with getting up early.
"[R]etire to thy bed early, that ye may not be weary; arise early, that your bodies and your minds may be invigorated." - D&C 88:124
