Great battles can make great heroes, but heroes will make great battle. You will never have a better opportunity to be a greater hero in a more crucial battle than in the battle you will face today and in the immediate future. Be warned that some of the greatest battles you will face will be fought within the silent chambers of your own soul.

The greatest Hero to ever have lived and who is still alive to this day, never lost a battle that He fought. And He fought so, so many more than each of us will ever fight. He never lost. Think about that....He NEVER lost.
Why, then, would we ever go into a battle alone? I, for one, would need and welcome Someone who has been there, who fought well, and who came out victorious.
Unfortunately, sometimes, we do fight alone....and we lose....me especially. Fortunately, Jesus Christ has already fought that battle on our behalf and won. So, then, all we need to do is repent and apply His Atonement into our lives so that we can come out victorious.
Again, why don't we do that? Why do we insist on fighting alone, then losing, and then we go off with our heads down? Why? When we can be on the winning side of each and every battle?
Lastly, I want to put some emphasis on what President Benson said in this quote. He said to "be warned"!! We are fighting battles in this very moment within our own souls... some we are well aware of and some we may not even know we're fighting, but nevertheless, we should not be fighting alone. Period!
Christ will win. Should we not want to be on His side then?
