December 18, 2021 - Make Time

We all occasionally get distracted from why we are here and divert our energies somewhere else. One of Satan’s most powerful weapons is to distract us with good and better causes which, in times of need, may blind and bind us away from the best cause—the very work that called us into this world.

Sister Bonnie H. Cordon, "Come unto Christ and Don’t Come Alone", General Conference, October 2021

There are so many distractions in the world today. Some are very loud and boisterous but some are small and imperceptible. Some, even, are very obviously not good for us and some are yet considered as good but may not be the best use of our time.

With the many alluring, enticing, attractive distractions hitting us from every direction, it can be almost impossible to focus on why we are actually here on this earth.

Sometimes we can't filter out the noise, and sometimes we don't even try. But there is One who can filter that noise out. One who can allow us to focus on why we're here. One who can shuffle our priorities so that we do what's best or better.

All we have to do is find time for Him in our day. All we have to do is that something that brings us closer to Him. That's it. We have 1,440 minutes in every day, is it so difficult to give Him 30, 60, or 90 of those minutes just focusing on Him? Maybe even 10% of that should be for Him? Surely we can do this. Our eternal destiny is dependent on this.
