My brothers and sisters, I plead with you to make time for the Lord! Make your own spiritual foundation firm and able to stand the test of time by doing those things that allow the Holy Ghost to be with you always. He will lead and guide you in your personal life if you will make time for Him in your life—each and every day.
President Russell M. Nelson, "Make Time For the Lord", General Conference, October 2021
I don't recall a modern prophet of the Lord ever using the word "plead"! Doesn't that word signify the seriousness of our situation? Doesn't that word give you a little pause and even fear that something is coming that will either strengthen our testimonies or destroy them altogether? To me, that is a bit frightening.

I know, if we are aligned with Christ, we shall not fear. But still, the mortality in me tells me to be scared, the unsurety of what the future holds is still unnerving. I have to worry about my own testimony but I also worry about the testimonies of those closest to me.
When all is said and done, all I can really control is my own testimony though. And hopefully that light will shine on those closest to me and influence them to strengthen their testimonies too.
Bottom line, is that something is coming to try us, if it isn't already here. And the only way to endure that is to have a strong testimony. And the way to have a strong testimony is to make time for the Lord every single day. That...will lessen the fear we may feel.
