If we would avoid adopting the evils of the world, we must pursue a course which will daily feed our minds with and call them back to the things of the Spirit. I know of no better way to do this than by reading the Book of Mormon.
Elder Marion G. Romney, Conference Report, April 1960
We know about the power of the Book of Mormon. It is not just a book. It is not just a story. It is not entertainment.
It IS the word of God. It has the power to change our lives and the power to bring us closer to Christ. I know this. I firmly believe this. But sometimes I give in to mortal weakness. I give in to Satan and his goons. They are strong. They are enticing. They are relentless.
But the power of God is so much stronger than every single one of Satan and his minions combined. What better way is there to feast upon the words and power of God, than by reading the Book of Mormon.
I just need to do that. I need to feast upon it and not just hurry through reading a chapter because I made a goal to finish it. I need to savor it. I need to Immerse myself in it. I need to ponder it. I need to hear God speaking to me through it.
