I learned... that before I thought about the Church service, before I thought about my education, even before I tried to be a good husband and father, I had to take care of my own spiritual and physical health.
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, Church News, April 24, 2021
This quote by Elder Holland is not saying that if I am in good shape spiritually and physically, that my Church service, my education, even my role as husband and father will be a piece of cake.
Nor does it mean that my physical health will fall in line if my spiritual health is good.
But there is a correlation between spiritual and physical health with everything else in life we pursue.
You've heard the scripture that says "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you". (Matt 6:33)
Those things to be added unto us include raising a family, getting married, success at work, health, knowledge, strength, friendship, etc., etc., etc.
However, it does not mean it will be added unto us immediately. It could very well be after this life in some cases. We have to trust in the Lord and seek first the Kingdom of God in everything now though.
