In moments of fear or doubt or troubling times, hold the ground you have already won, even if that ground is limited...When those moments come and issues surface, the resolution of which is not immediately forthcoming, hold fast to what you already know and stand strong until additional knowledge comes.
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, " Lord, I Believe", General Conference, April 2013
Throughout our lives, we will most assuredly encounter a trial of faith. Once, or twice, or even constantly there will be severe opposition. With faith, comes a trial of that faith. And as we hold fast during that trial of faith, then our faith gets stronger, even if it is so tiny at the beginning. After a trial of our faith, come the miracles.
We often think of miracles as some grand, unforgettable event. They don't have to be. They, most of the time, are not big events. Just being born is a miracle. Breathing is a miracle. Having sufficient for our needs, is a miracle. Any time the Lord steps in to help where we can't help ourselves, that's a miracle.
If we look and pay attention, we will notice miracles in our lives. We will know the Heavenly Father is right there beside us. Even when doubt appear, He is right there. Look for signs. Pay close attention. And then hold on to that.
