April 12, 2021 - Light The Way

Jesus Christ is the light that we should hold up even during the dark times of our mortal life. When we choose to follow Christ, we choose to be changed. A man or woman changed for Christ will be captained by Christ, and we will be asking, as Paul did, “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” (Acts 9:6). We will “follow his steps” (1 Peter 2:21). We will walk, even as he walked.

Time and time again, we hear that Christ is the light. He is the source of peace, joy, happiness, and every feeling that is divine. We know this.

Yet, why I'm I always so easily traveling through darkness?

The darkness is ALWAYS surrounding us, you and me. We cannot get away from it, not yet anyway. Everywhere we look, it is there.

We can either travel through this life in complete darkness, feeling our way along the route we are walking, tripping over obstacles, even falling.

Or, we can have the Light to illuminate our way. We just need to hold onto it. We can see where we are going. We can see obstacles in our way and avoid them. Occasionally, we may look away from our illuminated way and trip and stumble over the obstacles still. That's part of life. We will get distracted.

But as long as we remember to turn our heads back, pay attention to where we are going, and trust the Light, we will move forward along the path until that perfect day.

It's that easy....yet that difficult.
